Kids Summer Quilt Camp

Wondering what your kids will be doing this summer? How about learning how to sew a quilt? It's creative, challenging, requires applied action, independent thinking, and problem-solving ability, and develops good motor skills.

Bernina Northwest has opened enrollment for the summer kids quilt camps. Kids ages 7-14 are invited to learn how to make a lap-size quilt. No previous experience is necessary.

Gloria will start with the basics of the machine and making a quilt block and progress through making the quilt. We have 4 sessions available this summer. Each session is 4 days, 2.5 hours each day. Students must be able to attend every day in the session -- no make-up classes are available.

Price: $150
Time: 1:30-4

Sewing Machine 101
Class Fee: $50
Do you have a new machine, or an older machine gathering dust in the closet? Learn about the parts of your machine, what they do, how to maintain your machine, and how to use all those accessories that came with your machine.

Learn Your Older Bernina
Class Fee: $50
Learn to care for and use your mechanical (models 1030 or older) or programmable (models 1080 or higher) Bernina sewing machine. Use presser feet, accessories, and stitches to their maximum potential.

Serger Basics I
Class Fee: $50
This class is for beginners or those who need to get reacquainted with their machines: learn to thread your machine, achieve a balanced stitch and much more.

Tuesday, July 29 5:30-8

Serger Basics II
Class Fee: $50
For those who have had Serger Basics I. Learn to make ruffles, rolled hems, lace overlays, lettuce edges, and flatlock seams. In class we'll discuss decorative threads.

Sunday July 6 4:30-7

In Stitches Club
Fee: $5
This workshop will not only have you in stitches, but it’s all about decorative stitches and how to stack them. If you loved Mastering Class 4 you will go nutty over the workshop. Click here for the latest project information.

Embroidery Club

Learn to Sew
Class Fee: $150
Learn the basics of sewing and create your own style. This class will teach you to sew the fun and easy way. No more struggling through sewing projects wondering what you are doing wrong. Whether you want to redecorate your home or make crafts and clothes, Gloria will get you stitching in the right direction.
Note: This is a 6-session class, not 6 separate classes.

Gloria's Kid & Teen Sew Workshop

Kids (7+) and teens who are beginning or intermediate sewers can come to work on any project (quilt, accessory, craft or garment) and receive help from Gloria.
